blah

Today was a day for health histories :s My grandma came in for my morning appt and it was so nice to have a patient pt :) It was also nice to have someone to tell me the before and after of my skills haha I've definitely gotten faster and more confident! She had a really high BP so I had to try and get a physicians consult but they were not very helpful in rushing it. So we finally got to work an hour and a half into the appt. Somehow I still mangaged to finish with time to spare :) And it also gave us some great talk time!
The afternoon gave me a pt who had been premed in the past but said he didn't need it anymore. So I had to deal with a physician's consult again! I was secretly hoping he wouldn't show up at all. So that took over an hour and then I was pretty much just pulling out his lunch the whole time. He was really nice and I should improve my attitude. He had some great stories and I guess I have to get use to crappy days and just push through :) They were both lite on the calculus but it's starting to scare me that I'm not getting enough experience with heavier calculus :s What do I do?

You will have enough exprience by the time you leave school! I remember my first few months and I kept seeing class 2-3 patients and only doing adult prophys on them because 'they were not that bad' I realized that because I had seen so many bad mouths in school when I saw them in private practice they were not a big deal. I had to learn to quit pushing myself to finish my patients in the time I was given and to reschedule them for SRP. So no worries girl. You will see all the calc in the world at school! You will be fine!
