Sadness!

So I had my mockboard pt scheduled for this morning so I could finish her up. I couldn't get a hold of her to confirm but she was so reliable in the beginning that I thought she'd just show up. Well, she didn't. I was so sad because I was going to get my last 2 quads of a class II, PA's, and injections done with her!!! I would have been such a great day! But instead I had to find a pt off of the recall. She was able to come in quickly and luckily took her premed in time for the appt. She had a full upper denture and partial denture on the mandible. So I only had 6 teeth to clean! It was so sad to hear why she had full upper dentures, she got them when she was 14!!! You could tell that she really likes the conversation and interaction of people here at the clinic. Just a very nice lady and very complimentary. She had a root irregularity that tripped me up but pretty much just an easy cleaning.
In the afternoon I was supposed to see a class III from last semester but I really didn't feel like seeing him because I don't need anymore perio. But then Mindy said that her pt had cancelled and that she still needed class III's. So I offered my pt. to her! yay! Luckily for her he was still a class III with light calculus...then I called my boyfriend to come in :) He didn't get here til 1:20. So we took x-rays and got to probing and scaling half of his mouth. I was so nervous! He didn't quite understand that but I think just wanting to do my best for him and not mess up. But he was very sweet and I'm so glad that he came. We'll scale the other half next time and I hope to pass off a bunch of "good" PEs haha It'll be nice!
