So today went pretty well. I found out some new information and hopefully learned some valuable stuff for the real thing! My pt today was seriously awesome! He came on time, didn't flinch at all during LA, kept his mouth open and didn't complain once!!! He even stayed for the afternoon session so someone else could have a pt! I think my biggest battle will be feeling confident with my skills when it comes to the Boards. I felt like I must be missing every spot so I went over every tooth 4 times (twice with the ultrasonics and twice with instruments). And then come to find out the only things I missed were two specks of calculus that were just hanging out on 23 and 24, SUPRA!!! All I had to do was blow some air on them and I would have been golden! But good lesson I suppose...I feel like lately I have no clue what I'm doing with the mand ant ling. I don't know what it is but it just feels so foreign and I can't get my instruments to adapt correctly. I think that's part of what's shaking my confidence. But I did try to focus on what Hanson had told me and I even saw a few chunks of calculus come out! Oh and I felt really confident with my IA today :D
Things to remember for Boards:
1. Always blow air on the mand ant ling!!!!
2. Try to get approval with my first submission so I'm not docked 4 points for using an alternate
3. Determine occlusion beforehand
but bring an eraser just in case ;)
4. Relax, I can do this!

I think that the lower linguals can be tricky sometimes....I know they are supposed to be easy cause you can see them, but I have to work on them over and over. Sounds like you had a good experience and learned something from it. Good job!
