polishing

While I was reading the information last night, I was worried to see how my polishing skills would hold up. It wasn't too bad, but I need to remember to go into the sulcus and move distal to mesial. I really like the technique Joni showed me for holding the paste and suction in the same hand. I like how Instructor Vining asks questions while I'm working to test my knowledge and application. Granted, it scares me at the moment, but it really helps put it into perspective.
For next time, I will read and get ready to pass off the intraoral camera PE. It doesn't seem too hard, as long as I can orient myself in the mouth:s I plan on polishing after every appt. but we'll see how I feel when I start seeing actual patients...
